Spain – In devastating news for the football world, Liverpool and Portugal international Diogo Jota, 28, has tragically died alongside his brother Andre Silva following a car crash in Spain earlier today.

The incident occurred on a motorway near Seville, where the vehicle reportedly lost control and collided with a barrier before being struck by an oncoming lorry. Emergency services rushed to the scene but both men were pronounced dead shortly after their arrival.

Jota, a key figure at Liverpool FC since his move from Wolves in 2020, was widely admired for his work ethic, versatility, and clinical finishing. His contributions were instrumental in Liverpool’s domestic and European campaigns over the past seasons.
