Pedro Sánchez Honoured with Peace and International Solidarity Award
The Association of Turkish-British Journalists has awarded Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez its “Peace and International Solidarity Award,” recognising his contributions to global peace efforts and humanitarian advocacy.

In an official statement, the ATBJ commended Sánchez for his commitment to diplomacy, international cooperation, and the promotion of human rights. The organisation highlighted his foreign policy approach, particularly his positions on conflicts in regions such as Palestine and Lebanon, noting that these stances have earned him international respect.
The award, according to the ATBJ, is intended not only to acknowledge Sánchez’s leadership within Spain but also to underscore his broader role in advancing peaceful solutions and fostering global solidarity.
The association’s chairperson described Sánchez as “an inspiration both in Spain and internationally,” citing his humanitarian approach to global politics and his dedication to fair and peaceful conflict resolution.
Sánchez, leader of the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party and head of Spain’s coalition government, continues to play a prominent role in both domestic and international affairs. The recognition also reflects his growing profile among international audiences, including within Turkish communities, where his policies and public messaging have attracted notable attention.
The ATBJ stated that the award aligns with its mission to highlight leaders who actively promote peace, cooperation, and human rights on the global stage.
