UK-Counter terror police investigatin an incident in Leeds

Breaking News: Counter Terrorism Policing North East said it has taken over the investigation into an incident in Leeds which left two women seriously injured “due to the circumstances surrounding the incident”
Three people suffered non-life-threatening injuries after reports of a serious incident in Leeds on Saturday involving a man carrying weapons.
West Yorkshire Police said they were called to Otley Road, Leeds at 2.47pm on Saturday afternoon to reports of an ongoing serious incident involving a man seen with weapons.
A male suspect was detained and remains in custody.
Images from the incident show weapons on the ground, including a crossbow and multiple guns.
The incident happened on the Otley Run, a popular pub crawl route in Leeds.
Taylor’s Sports Bar & Grill, one of the pubs along the road said that it would be closed until further notice.
In a post on its Facebook page, the venue said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances we will be closed until further notice. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.”
Tracy Brabin, the Mayor of West Yorkshire said her thoughts are with the victims of the serious incident in Leeds.
She said: “I am being fully briefed by West Yorkshire Police as they work with local communities on the ground.”As a suspect is in custody, I would ask people to refrain from sharing any speculation across social media.”
Police said officers would remain at the scene while enquires are ongoing and for public safety.
The force added that their investigation is still in the initial stages to determine the wider circumstances of what has taken place and further updates will follow.
