In the wake of a violent attack in Boulder, #Colorado, former President Donald Trump took to X (formerly Twitter) to condemn the incident and renew calls for stricter immigration enforcement.

In a post from his official account, @realDonaldTrump, Trump asserted that the suspect in the “horrific attack” entered the country due to what he labeled President Biden’s “ridiculous Open Border Policy.” Trump did not cite specific details about the suspect’s immigration status, which have not yet been confirmed by authorities.

“This WILL NOT BE TOLERATED in the United States of America,” Trump wrote, adding that such individuals “must go out under ‘TRUMP’ Policy.” He called for acts of terrorism to be “prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law,” and emphasized the importance of securing the border and deporting what he described as “Illegal, Anti-American Radicals.”

Trump also extended condolences to the victims and the residents of Boulder: “My heart goes out to the victims of this terrible tragedy, and the Great People of Boulder, Colorado!”

The attack, which occurred on Sunday, has left the Boulder community reeling. Details about the motive and the suspect’s background are still emerging, with local and federal authorities conducting an ongoing investigation.

Trump’s statement quickly went viral, reigniting a fierce political debate over immigration policy and national security.

The #Biden administration has not yet responded to the former president’s remarks.
