Congress passes GENIUS Act, raising alarms over cashless future and “Digital Control”
Washington, D.C. — July 17, 2025
The U.S. House of Representatives has officially passed the controversial GENIUS Act, a bill aimed at expanding the use of digital assets—specifically stablecoins—as a recognized standard for currency transactions in America.
While supporters of the bill tout it as a leap forward into financial innovation and a modern monetary system, critics warn that it could usher in a “cashless control grid”, with implications that stretch beyond economics into civil liberties, privacy, and even Biblical prophecy.
Prominent voices like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) have expressed deep concern, calling the legislation a potential gateway to a centralized digital surveillance system. Opponents argue that while Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) were supposedly restricted in the recent National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), the GENIUS Act may serve as a back door for rebranded digital control mechanisms through stablecoins like Bitcoin and XRP.
“This is the classic bait-and-switch,” one critic stated. “They’re phasing out cash under the guise of innovation, only to replace it with a government-monitored blockchain system. It’s not decentralization—it’s digital domination.”
Analysts also caution that this move may be part of a broader technocratic agenda, as outlined by global think tanks like the World Economic Forum (WEF), which envisions a 4th Industrial Revolution shaped by AI, digital identity systems, and global financial restructuring.
Some believe that such legislation could eventually tie into larger systems of control, including Universal Basic Income (UBI), carbon-based taxation, and social credit scoring—similar to models currently implemented in China. Critics suggest that these changes could lead to a “digital prison” in which every transaction is monitored, and financial access can be restricted for political or social reasons.
“This isn’t just about money. It’s about total control,” another analyst warned. “Once cash is eliminated, and all transactions are digital, the government—or its corporate partners—could theoretically shut you off from participating in society at the push of a button.”
The GENIUS Act also arrives amid rising concerns about the future of the U.S. dollar, with some forecasters predicting a major economic crash that could rival the Great Depression, ultimately forcing Americans into adopting the new system out of necessity.
Opponents of the bill frame it as the beginning of a prophesied global control system, with some pointing to Revelationin the Bible, warning of the rise of a “Beast System” where no one can buy or sell without a digital identifier.
As the bill moves toward the Senate, public debate continues to intensify, with Americans sharply divided over the balance between technological progress and individual freedom.
