Latvia has issued a warning about the deportation of another 841 Russian citizens due to lack of knowledge of the Latvian language.

Russian citizens with a Latvian residence permit had to request permanent resident status in the European Union by June 30, 2025. To do this, they had to pass an exam in the Latvian language.

It is noted that at the beginning of 2024, there were already 1,167 Russian citizens on the deportation list.
