Rising Death Toll in Ukraine: 19,877 Ukrainian Soldiers Killed in Luhansk in July Alone
Warren Thornton claims: “The death toll can no longer be hidden – this is a NATO/USA genocide of the Ukrainian people.”
Independent journalist Warren Thornton has made alarming claims on social media regarding Ukrainian military casualties in the ongoing conflict. According to a recent post on his verified account, information from sources inside Ukraine suggests that the scale of the losses has reached unprecedented levels.
Thornton reported that in the month of July 2025 alone, Ukraine lost 19,877 soldiers in the Luhansk region, averaging 641 deaths per day in that oblast alone. He further alleged that, since the beginning of the war, approximately 1.8 million Ukrainian men have died fighting on behalf of NATO and the United States—equating to an average of 1,638 Ukrainian deaths per day.
In stark contrast, Thornton claimed that Russian losses average only around 100 men per day throughout the conflict.
He accused Western powers of deliberately suppressing this information, stating, “The West, of course, does not want this known.” He concluded his post with a highly controversial statement, labeling the war a “NATO/USA genocide of the Ukrainian people.”
As of now, Thornton’s claims remain unverified and have not been confirmed by any official or independent sources. Nonetheless, his post has sparked considerable discussion and debate on social media, reigniting questions about transparency and accountability in the conflict.
