Saudi Arabia condemns ‘criminal’ Israeli strike on Qatari soil
Riyadh/Doha
Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned Israel over a strike in the Qatari capital, Doha, that targeted Hamas leaders, calling the attack a “criminal act” and a “flagrant violation” of international law.

According to the Saudi Foreign Ministry, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman spoke directly with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to express solidarity and support following the incident.
“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia offers its full support for the sisterly State of Qatar, and condemns the blatant Israeli attack, which constitutes a criminal act and a violation of international laws and norms,” the ministry said in a statement.
The statement added that Riyadh is “deploying all its capabilities” to assist Qatar in safeguarding its security and sovereignty.
The strike, which Israel has not publicly confirmed, reportedly targeted senior Hamas figures residing in Doha. Qatar has long served as a key mediator in regional conflicts, hosting Hamas’s political leadership as part of ongoing negotiations with international powers.
The Saudi condemnation marks a significant show of Gulf solidarity, underscoring mounting regional outrage over Israeli actions beyond Gaza and the occupied territories.
