Iranian Parliament considers withdrawal from NPT

Iran’s parliament is preparing multiple responses to the UN Security Council’s activation of the snapback mechanism, including a potential withdrawal from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

Lawmakers have introduced 14 different proposals to counter the move, after Europe used its political weight to block sanction relief for Iran at the UN.
