Trump unveils first U.S. plan to dnd Gaza War in talks with Arab, Muslim leaders

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has presented his first formal plan to end the war in Gaza during a closed-door meeting with Arab and Muslim leaders, according to Israel’s Channel 12. The proposal marks Washington’s most detailed initiative since the conflict began and is being described by regional leaders as the first serious U.S. attempt to chart a path toward peace.

The outline includes the release of all hostages, a permanent ceasefire, and a gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza. It also envisions a post-war governing authority that excludes Hamas, the deployment of Arab and Muslim security forces, and reconstruction efforts funded primarily by Arab states.

While Arab leaders cautiously welcomed the plan, they pressed for key assurances. Their demands included a firm commitment against Israeli annexation or continued occupation of Gaza and the West Bank, a halt to settlement expansion, protection of the status quo at Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque, and an immediate increase in humanitarian aid to Palestinians.

Trump reportedly stressed the urgency of reaching an agreement, warning that Israel risks growing isolation if the conflict drags on. Following the meeting, Arab foreign ministers convened to discuss the proposal in greater detail. A refined version of the plan is expected ahead of Trump’s scheduled talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday.
