Gaza Health Official Accuses Israel of Executing Detainees, Calls for International Investigation

Gaza City – The Director-General of the Gaza Ministry of Health, Dr. Munir Al-Bursh, has accused Israeli forces of committing grave violations following the return of the bodies of several Gaza detainees.

According to Dr. Al-Bursh, the recovered bodies showed clear signs of torture, burns, and abuse. “They were handcuffed, blindfolded, and bore signs of horrific torture, revealing the scale of the crimes committed in secret,” he said.

He further alleged that the victims were not buried after their deaths but were instead kept in refrigeration units “for many months,” describing the treatment as evidence of deliberate mistreatment. “These individuals did not die natural deaths; they were executed after being restrained,” Al-Bursh stated.

Calling the incident a “full-fledged war crime,” the health official urged the international community to launch an urgent investigation and to hold those responsible accountable before international courts.

Israeli authorities have not immediately commented on the allegations.
