British Forces have deployed to Israel to join a multinational task force that will monitor the fragile ceasefire in Gaza after a request from the United States, according to The Times.
A two-star officer and a small number of military personnel will be based in the country as part of the Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC), established and led by the U.S. that will provide logistical support, security, and monitor the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
The two-star officer will serve as deputy to a commander with the U.S. Armed Forces, expected to help with the flow of humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza.
