BREAKING: At least two National Guard members have been shot near the White House with one sadly passing away

At this time Multiple emergency crews are currently on the scene following a Active shooting incicent involving two National Guard members, triggering a major law enforcement and emergency response in Washington, D.C.

One National Guard member from Alabama has died in what officials have described as a non-duty-related incident near the White House.

A second Guard member was also shot, along with at least three other civilians has been transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Their condition has not yet been released. The shooting occurred near the Farragut West Metro station.

As a precaution, the White House has been placed on lockdown, and several nearby streets and transit routes have been closed Law enforcement are actively searching for the suspect, who remains at large. Officials are urging the public to avoid the area

Trump’s reaction on X social media:

”The animal that shot the two National Guardsmen, with both
being critically wounded, and now in two separate hospitals, is
also severely wounded, but regardless, will pay a very steep
price. God bless our Great National Guard, and all of our Military
and Law Enforcement. These are truly Great People. I, as
President of the United States, and everyone associated with the
Office of the Presidency, am with you!”
