UK MP Rupert Lowe Says He Declined COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine, Citing Personal Concerns
Reform UK MP Rupert Lowe has stated in a recent interview that he chose not to receive an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, expressing personal concerns about the technology and government pandemic policies.
Lowe claimed that several acquaintances experienced health issues after vaccination, mentioning conditions such as myocarditis, blood clots, and strokes. Such claims, however, do not reflect broad scientific consensus. The UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), the European Medicines Agency (EMA), and the World Health Organization (WHO) maintain that authorised COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective, with serious side effects considered very rare.
During the interview, Lowe criticised the UK government’s handling of the pandemic and referred to mRNA vaccines as “experimental.” Scientific bodies note that while the technology was new to widespread public use, mRNA vaccine research has been ongoing for decades and the vaccines underwent full regulatory review before approval.
Lowe also referenced growing scepticism among certain political figures abroad, pointing specifically to U.S. presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has frequently criticised vaccine policies. Kennedy’s claims have been widely disputed by medical authorities, who say many of his statements lack scientific evidence.

Francis A. Boyle, U.S.-based professor with past affiliations to Harvard University has submitted an affidavit in a federal court making the controversial claim that COVID-19 vaccines constitute “bioweapons of mass destruction.” In the filing, the professor argues that senior officials at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Department of Defense (DOD), and executives involved in vaccine development should face criminal charges, including “mass murder.”
