Headquartered in Istanbul, the Anatolian Lions Businessmen’s Association (ASKON) has appointed businessman Cahit Tuz as its United Kingdom Coordinator.
An ASKON delegation led by Vice Chairman and Deputy Chairman in charge of Foreign Relations Ercan Vergili paid a working visit to London.

As part of the visit, Vergili held meetings with the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to London, Osman Koray Ertaş, as well as officials from economic and trade institutions operating in London. The delegation also met with several Turkish and international businesspeople active in the United Kingdom.
In his speech at the meeting, Vergili said:
“Türkiye has reached the reputable level it deserves under the leadership of our President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. ASKON works with full dedication in line with the vision and goals set by our President. Under the leadership of our Chairman Orhan Aydın, we strive to ensure that the Turkish flag flies proudly across the world. The United Kingdom holds a significant place in our global activities.”

Full Confidence in Cahit Tuz
“In this context, following nearly a year of work, we have appointed Mr. Cahit Tuz—who has previously served our country in senior bureaucratic roles and is currently engaged in commercial activities in the United Kingdom—as ASKON’s UK Coordinator. We have full confidence that Cahit Tuz and his team will make significant contributions to relations between the two countries,” Vergili stated.
Speaking about ASKON’s objectives in the United Kingdom, Vergili added:

“The establishment of the ASKON UK Economic Forum; the launch of the Turkish–British SME Innovation Programme; cooperation through a Fintech & Technology Joint Incubation Centre; the establishment of a Turkish Trade Centre (TTC) in London through ASKON UK initiatives; and the implementation of academic R&D support programmes.”

In his remarks, Cahit Tuz said they are fully aware of the weight and responsibility of the role they have undertaken, adding that the newly formed management team will make every material and moral effort to contribute to Türkiye–United Kingdom economic relations.
