Breaking News: Prime Minister Sharif Declares “Historic Victory,” Announces Ceasefire with India

Islamabad – In a major development, Prime Minister Sharif has declared what he called a “historical victory” for Pakistan, following the announcement of a ceasefire agreement with India.

Speaking at a press conference, Sharif praised the nation’s armed forces, navy, and army for their role in securing the outcome. “We have been successful in our principles,” he stated, adding that the ceasefire had been reached “for the benefit of everybody.”

Sharif took aim at India, strongly condemning what he described as alleged attacks on mosques and criticizing Indian media for spreading “fake news” and “baseless accusations.”

He expressed deep gratitude to former U.S. President Donald Trump, who, according to Sharif, played a “pivotal role in the ceasefire.” The Prime Minister also extended thanks to several other countries for their support, including Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Qatar. He made special mention of “the advice of the British” and lauded China as a “very dear, very trustworthy and very dear friend.”

Looking ahead, Sharif expressed optimism that long-standing issues such as water sharing and Kashmir “will be resolved,” stating that he has full confidence in the diplomatic process moving forward.
