India Faces BRICS axe

India could be kicked out of the influential BRICS alliance as key member states grow increasingly frustrated with what they see as Delhi’s disruptive role within the group, sources have revealed.

The five-nation bloc — made up of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa — was formed to challenge Western dominance and boost cooperation across the global South. But tensions are now boiling over, and India’s future in the group appears shaky.

According to diplomatic insiders, high-level discussions are underway between Russia, China, and Brazil to explore the possibility of removing India from the alliance altogether. Shockingly, Russia — once considered a close partner of India — is reportedly backing the plan.

Behind closed doors, BRICS members have accused India of blocking key development projects and refusing to support a unified economic and diplomatic front. Some have even branded Delhi a “negative force” in the group.

Indonesia is now being floated as a likely replacement — a move that would send shockwaves through Asia’s geopolitical landscape and reconfigure the balance of power in the region.

At the heart of the row is India’s growing mistrust of China, a fellow BRICS member, and Delhi’s increasing alignment with Western-led initiatives — something the rest of the bloc views as undermining BRICS’ founding principles.

Whether India is truly on the chopping block remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: BRICS may be on the brink of its most dramatic shake-up yet.
