Gaza facing allegations of Biological Warfare through contaminated food aid
Gaza— Alarming reports from Gaza suggest that food aid delivered under Israeli occupation may be part of a systematic campaign of biological warfare. Independent sources have identified the presence of aflatoxin B1, a highly carcinogenic mycotoxin, in legumes and white beans, as well as oxycodone, a powerful narcotic, in flour samples.
Aflatoxin B1 is known to cause liver cancer and other serious health issues, while oxycodone is a highly addictive opioid with severe physiological effects. The detection of these substances in essential food items raises grave concerns that the aid may have been deliberately contaminated.
Beyond these findings, there are strong suspicions of additional bacterial and chemical contaminants in the aid supplies, though further testing is needed to confirm the extent of the threat.
Health experts and humanitarian organizations are calling on the United Nations to urgently investigate. They are demanding that the UN collect samples of the distributed food aid in Gaza and conduct independent laboratory tests to determine whether this constitutes an act of biological warfare.
“The people of Gaza are not only being targeted by bombs, but now possibly by poison disguised as food. This could be a war crime of the highest order,” said a local health official.
If confirmed, the deliberate contamination of food supplies in a besieged and starving population would represent a severe violation of international humanitarian law and could amount to a crime against humanity.
Calls are growing for immediate international oversight and transparency as the humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to deepen.
