CERN: Antimatter has been transported by truck

CERN has achieved a remarkable and unconventional milestone in the world of science: antimatter has been transported by truck.

While the idea of a truck carrying antiprotons across Europe may sound like science fiction, the team at CERN has turned it into reality. Researchers successfully transported antimatter safely within the laboratory campus using a specially designed vehicle.

The cargo itself is striking: 92 antiprotons stored inside a portable trap weighing about one ton. As is well known, antimatter instantly annihilates upon contact with normal matter—meaning it disappears the moment it interacts with almost anything around us. This makes its transportation extremely delicate and technologically demanding.

The final destination of this unique shipment is Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf in Germany. This operation is being regarded as one of the most extraordinary deliveries ever carried out in the history of road logistics.
